We'll impose a policy to maintain a safe distance between passengers with a distance of 1 arm
PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is operating 123 routes from 5 AM - 10 PM for regular services and 11 routes for evening services (Amari) from 10 PM - 5 AM today, Tuesday (3/17).
Corporate Secretary and Public Relations Division Head Nadia Diposanjoyo said the number of routes operating would be adjusted according to the following details:
Public Facilities in Tidung Island Sprayed Using Disinfectant- 15 routes of BRT in the corridor
- 25 routes of inner-city integrated public transport
- 10 routes of Transjabodetabek
- 69 routes of Mikrotrans
"Adjusting these routes was needed to make social distancing on Transjakarta buses," she stated, Monday (3/16) night.
Thus the carrying capacity of each bus becomes:
- 60 passengers for articulated buses
- 30 passengers for big-sized buses
- 15 passengers for medium-sized buses and Royaltrans
- 6 passengers for Mikrotrans
"To maintain social distancing and avoid buildup of passengers at the bus stop, the frequency and number of buses operating on each route will be increased to double the normal frequency, thus the number of passengers riding on one bus can be reduced," he explained.
Additionally, passengers are expected to be patient waiting outside the bus stops to avoid long queue inside the bus stop or on the bus.
"We'll impose a policy to maintain a safe distance between passengers with a distance of 1 arm," she expressed.
In the field, the officers will help guide them in order to prevent unwanted things.
Then the rusunawa bus operational will temporarily use 60 school buses, which operates at 5 AM - 9 PM. Each bus has 30 seats and 15 handgrips.
